The Bank of New York has launched AccessEdge, a browser-based portal that will serve as a client interface to its proprietary global collateral management system, RepoEdge.
RepoEdge features real-time links into The Federal Reserve Bank, Depositary Trust Clearing Corporation and Euroclear.
Art Certosimo, senior vice president and head of broker dealer services at The Bank of New York, says: "With AccessEdge, clients will be able to view their tri-party activity on a real-time basis, including deal transactions, collateralisation status, and collateral details."
Certosimo says the system also features a message service that the bank can use to broadcast information about the tri-party programme.
