ABN Amro has named Hugh Scott-Barrett as chief operating officer.
Scott-Barrett, who co-led the restructuring of the firm's wholesale clients business (WCS), has been put in charge of Group Shared Services, a new unit established to create cost savings through consolidation and standardisation.
During his tenure at WCS, Scott-Barrett presided over the award and hand-over of a $1.3 billion outsourcing contract to EDS covering the provision of technology services and applications development across the unit.
