The two companies will pool their respective applications for SwiftNet migration and STP tracking through the bureau. Steria's financial applications unit Stercia will supply its Steform, Stelink and Stematch products to the venture, providing a complete package of services that will also include connectivity software, enquiries and investigations and automed repair.

The companies expect to go live in January 2004 with three product offerings: Standard Bureau Services, which will be targeted at small and medium-sized financial institutions and large corporates and will provide a range of value added transactional services; Member Administered Closed User Groups, catering to the larger banks and their key corporate clients; and Disaster Recovery Services, aimed at existing Swift users.
