Financial Tradeware, a provider of portfolio management and brokerage software, has launched an application designed to ease the burden of Swift network connection for small to medium-sized investment managers, hedge funds and independent financial advisors.
Swift Power offers a complete Swift solution for either straight-through or manual input of messages. The vendor claims the solution is easy to use and reduces the need for users to gain vast amounts of network knowledge prior to connection.
The launch of the product is particularly well-timed, given Swift's promise yesterday to broaden its user community by introducing more attractive entry level pricing packages for smaller firms.
Any database can be integrated into the Swift Power suite, with a TreeView application enabling messages to be viewed, edited or manually created. The software automatically validates each message, taking into account Swift network and usage rules to ensure STP. Upon receipt of a message, as well as writing to the database, Swift Power outputs the message in an easy-to-understand XML format.
The application, which can either be used as a stand-alone product or integrated with the company's full portfolio management solution, UltraSuite, also provides additional administrative tools enabling user configuration and complete control over sent, received and pending messages. The system maximises security and enables real-time authorisation through the use of fingerprint scanners.
