SunGard eProcess Intelligence is to integrate its automated reconciliation solution intelliMatch into a new .NET-based straight-through expection processing (Step) platform.
The SunGard Step platform has been designed to provide an enterprise-level solution for transaction event management, incorporating exception processing, transaction research, cash management and reconciliation. By using Microsoft's .Net platform and industry-standard interfaces - including XML, SOAP and Web services - the vendor is positioning for the extension of the STP process beyond the back office and out to internal and third-party clients.
SunGard says the Step platform is already in production for exception processing and Web customer service.
Matt Mandalinci, president, SunGard ePI describes the integration of intelliMatch into the STeP process as "the final piece of the puzzle in providing an integrated, enterprise-wide solution for straight-through exception processing".
The repositioning and evolution of the product follows on from SunGard's recent acquisition of the source code and joint intellectual property rights to intelliMatch from Checkfree.
