US financial services firm Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association - College Retirement Equities Fund (TIAA-CREF) has licensed Fame Information Services' market data management software, ReferencePoint.
TIAA-CREF will use ReferencePoint to manage current and historical market data for its risk applications.
Erwin Martens, chief risk officer, TIAA-CREF, says complex assets need the right tools to properly manage risk effectiveness.
"Regulatory acts such as Sarbanes-Oxley increase the need for greater levels of transparency into our vast amounts of information," adds Martens.
Released in early 2003, Fame claims to have deployed ReferencePoint at more than 30 institutions.
