US Bank has licensed cheque imaging packages, Capture for Prime Pass and ImageEX, from Vectorsgi, the former banking systems division of Sterling Commerce.
US Bank will use the products to capture images at the prime pass stage in order to maximise use of on-us items for image work on 'day two' processes, image statements and image exchange through the ViewPointe image archive and the Small Value Payments Company (SVPCo).
The vendor says its Vector:Capture product exceeds six sigma performance standards. Both packages are scalable and will run on many image capture devices says Vectorsgi.
Tom Rea, executive vice president of transaction services for US Bank, says: "With the addition of these Vector products, we anticipate major savings in implementation costs, transmission costs, and a reduction in adjustments volume due to more accurate image capture."
