SmartStream's STP Control Architecture is pitched as a platform independent, component-based product suite that integrates disparate systems for end-to-end real time control of risk and operations.

The system aims to eliminate the manual intervention, information dispersal and duplication across product and business lines that are inherent in a disparate, silo-based processing infrastructure.

Martin Brown, founder and CEO, SmartStream Technologies, says: "We wanted to offer a complete architecture, from end-to-end, where integration and scalability were paramount."

STP Control Architecture is delivered by the Smartstream's Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) package which was launched at Sibos last year. TLM comprises of reconciliations and exceptions management components as well as business activity monitoring, trade process management and enterprise application integration (EAI) systems.

Since the launch, TLM has been extended to include corporate actions processing, business process automation and financial messaging technology. The new features were introduced following Smartstream's acquistions of corporate actions firm ESI and BPM vendor Connextive.
