The partnership will see the addition of SEPA Direct Debit functionality to the AlphaHub Payments as a Service platform, whilst also serving to expose the functionality offered on the Nuapay platform to merchants and developers through the AlphaHub’s comprehensive Solution Library. Customers will benefit from the strength, expertise and skillset of the partners in overcoming the challenges that omni-channel payments can bring.

Nuapay is a cloud-based service which gives business users an account in their own name with a unique IBAN (International Bank Account Number) along with sponsorship into the SEPA scheme to enable them to collect direct debit payments from anywhere in Europe. All of the functionality required to run a direct debit process is included as standard with Nuapay, e.g. (e-)mandate management, routing, payment scheduler and reporting. Unlike most banks, Nuapay delivers payment clearing combined with comprehensive management functionality matched with rapid on-boarding and simple, easy to understand contracts. Nuapay is a full Payment Institution licensed and regulated by the FCA in London.

The addition of Nuapay to the AlphaHub platform means that merchants have the ability to add SEPA direct debit functionality to their site through a single, simple API integration. With Nuapay merchants can deliver a 1-click payer experience for recurring payments as well as being able to configure a fully automated process for subscription based sales. Direct Debits represent a cost-effective alternative payment method giving access to a demographic of more than 500 million consumers and over 20 million businesses.

“As businesses increasingly look for alternative payment methods that are bank account funded, we are very excited to add Nuapay as a provider to the AlphaHub” commented Rónán Gallagher, Chief Product Office at Alpha Payments Cloud. “The opportunity for a merchant to access consumers across Europe from a single bank account is quite compelling and we look forward to working with Nuapay to increase the acceptance of SEPA Direct Debit for online businesses.”

Brian Hanrahan, Chief Commercial Officer at Nuapay added, “We are very happy to enter into a partnership with Alpha Payment Cloud which will extend our current SEPA payment offering to a worldwide audience with all the benefits of using a single platform for access. This partnership removes the complexity that merchants have traditionally experienced when accessing direct debits in Europe and is testament to the value Nuapay brings to global merchants and PSPs.”
