The history of China-Israel relations goes back a long way. This MOU is yet another reflection of the interwoven and close ties between the two countries, and will manifest in an enhanced cooperation between the two exchanges.

A key aspect of the MOU will be an exchange of delegations, to deepen Israeli businessmen' knowledge of the Chinese market and Stock Exchange and vice versa. These reciprocal visits will hopefully generate and promote interest in both markets, and will encourage investment and cooperation in various aspects of the markets and economies.

Mrs Ester Levanon, Chief Executive Officer of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange stated: "The Shanghai Stock Exchange reputation and heritage are known worldwide. We are delighted to sign this co-operation agreement between our two exchanges. We are committed to work closely with Shanghai over the coming years and to create opportunities to develop investment between our markets".
