Dealing with risk in real-time

Dealing with risk in real-time

Source: Yolus, DrKW case study

Yolus' Real-time Risk Management (Y-RTR) solution provides management and traders at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein with a mechanism to view, monitor and analyse cross-product, cross-location trading P&L and risk in one system in real-time.

Using a range of pre-built XML adaptors the application connects with position keeping and risk systems in the front-office to provide an up to the minute view of the global business. Because Y-RTR displays the actual information used by traders to risk manage their portfolios, it allows key decision makers to actively manage trading risks across business lines and locations.

The CEO, head of equities trading, head of risk management, all front-office business line heads and around 150 traders and operations staff around the globe use the Yolus system. It provides them with a real-time view of where money is being made or lost, how their risk is concentrated and how that matches with the trading limits set by the organisation.
