Risk control at DrKW

Risk control at DrKW

Source: Xenomorph, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein

Read how Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) used Xenomorph systems to solve the problems associated with maintaining complex market data database structures.

The risk control unit within DrKW needed to efficiently manage complex database structures and develop applications to batch-price correlation matrices for thousands of instruments, overnight and without manual intervention.

DrKW was using disparate tools including both in-house developments and vendor software. Once the database grew to a certain size, a bespoke solution was required. The solution needed to be flexible enough to be integrated into the DrKW framework, provide powerful yet simple APIs to enable in-house correlation calculation methods to be rapidly developed and have a fast and efficient database that could accept feeds from multiple data vendors.
