Standard Chartered Bank was committed to achieving Identrus membership as a cornerstone of its e-commerce strategy. Outsourcing technological and procedural responsibility to PricewaterhouseCoopers, SCB was also running a separate e-commerce project that depended on the timely implementation of Identrus.
Given the tight deadlines involved, SCB resolved to bring in a secondary team from Aconite to audit the project. Not only would this specialist unit review work already undertaken but also provide PwC with essential support in designing the business processes for Identrus.
