Abbey National has brought on-the-spot mortgage decisions to the UK marketplace via an online service for intermediaries and introducers.
Within 60 seconds of submitting an online application on behalf of a client, the introducer will receive a fully credit-checked ‘agreement in principle’. These and conventional paper-based applications can be easily monitored at every stage, using online tracking. For Abbey National there are also back-office efficiency benefits. The result: a new standard for speed-of-delivery and responsiveness that benefits the client, the introducer and the bank.
The service was developed jointly by Abbey National and the Business Solutions Division of Getronics, using software from DPR Consulting, a Microsoft Solutions Partner.
