Finexpo - Green City is a carbon neutral event

Finextra has worked with the The CarbonNeutral Company (TCNC) to ensure that the environmental impact of our event is offset by investment in renewable energy and environmental projects. For Finexpo Green City, the unavoidable energy use and emissions produced in the course of the event will be offset by investment in a wind farm in Tamil Nadu, India; an agricultural methane capture project in Germany; and reforestation in Mynydd-Y-Garnedd, Wales.

The CarbonNeutral Company was established over 10 years ago and is the leading carbon offset and climate consulting business with over 200 B2B, B2C, governments and NGO clients. CarbonNeutral is the company’s registered mark, and the global brand for action on climate change.

TCNC is the only company trading in carbon credits that commissions an independent third party to verify its carbon business i.e. that there is a full audit trail and that carbon contracted to clients is purchased and retired with absolute integrity. TCNC also insures all of its carbon – this means that if a client’s chosen carbon offset projects fails (and some do), TCNC makes good any shortfall from other projects so that CarbonNeutral status is maintained.
