Open banking passes five million user milestone

There are now more than five million active users of open banking services in the UK, five hundred thousand up on January's headline total, with tax payments driving the growth in numbers.

OBIE appoints Henk Van Hulle as CEO

The Open Banking Implementation Entity (OBIE) has announced the appointment of Henk Van Hulle as the organisation’s first Chief Executive Officer. The creation of this new position was recognised in the CMA’s recently published updated governance arrangements for OBIE, as part of a package of changes that deliver a strong and effective governance and management framework for the OBIE.
