Great move - they need to transition away from pure BNPL and differentiate their offer or risk losing market share to the likes of viva / zip / clearpay etc. We are seeing significant investment into sales hiring across BNPL firms expanding in Europe. Klarna have a solid  headstart but this is a smart move to shore up the customer base and cross sell services. 

Another great acquisition for cross/upselling opportunties - ION now half the size of Finastra by the looks of things (in employee terms)

I've just been reading this is essentially an accountancy hack where any potential BTC gains would be recorded in their balance sheet (not income statement).. but if the value of Bitcoin drops, losses are reflected as an expense - and therefore limit income tax liability. Might be the first of many companies to make this move if so..?

Certainly won't be a shortage of (fundamentally solid) businesses looking for funding this year and next. Great time to secure a banking license - now its just about executing on the opportunity.

Massive cost efficiency in cutting down on real estate - not to mention the appeal to candidates around flexi-working when headhunting new staff. Very interesting decison & I don't think Revolut will be the last company to do this!

Completely agree with the comments by Kane here - most people just haven't got round to commiting to an active pension/investment strategy. Great space to be in.
