Speaking of location, someone should really have told Intel's Nigel Woodward that eschewing a booth on the exhibition floor in favour of a floating hospitality junk on the harbour was not a smart move in the middle of the typhoon season in Hong Kong.

Relax everybody. According to the lates bulletin from the Hong Kong Weather Observatory, the storm is forecast to pass south of Hong Kong later today, but to hit a Level 8 intensity over the Chinese mainland.
Rumours that Mr Michael Fish of the UK's meteoroligcal dept has been relocated to Hong Kong have not yet been confirmed.
All the same, we have to ask: Who's bright idea was it to hold an international conference in the typhoon season in Hong Kong?

Citadel Investments on Tuesday acquired a majority stake in Equiduct, the European multi-lateral trading facility operated by Borse Berlin. Nice try by StreamBase but trading on Twitter doesn't fly. Put it this way: Would you push the buy or sell button on the basis of a few anonymous messages picked up on a Yahoo stocktipping message board? The more seriously Twittter is taken, the more interesting it becomes as a means of spreading disinformation, and the less value it subsequently has as a trusted source of actionable information.
