Thankfully our card programme runs on MC. If it was with Visa, I would seriously consider moving in light of this very bad association.

Businesses have a responsibility to consider not just the financial opportunities, but also the ethical implications of their alliances. Associating with Musk, who has repeatedly shown a disregard for accountability and inclusivity, risks alienating customers who value integrity and social responsibility.

Here’s hoping Visa reconsiders the message this sends and prioritizes partnerships that align with a more positive and unifying vision for the future.

I'm sure the risks of APP reimursement were an issue - but I highly doubt this was a driving reason for the business ceasing. Still, a shame as the concept was admirable.

The government should have blocked the original sale of VocaLink to a US company in the first place. A critical part of the national infrastructure should never be allowed to be run by an overseas company.

Now taking bets on the multiple increase in APP fraud once this comes in. 🧐 The biggest winners will be the criminals that will exploit this new (ill thought out) rule. The sensible thing to do by all FI’s to ignore the whole concept of FP and delay all payments - great move PSR, you have demonstrated how out of touch you have become.

How depressing that in 2023 companies like BHN still think this is something they need to promote as if they move to more sustainable options that have been available for years. The story should be how much plastic has BHN continued to pollute this world instead of using alternatives those years!
