This gives banks ample time to launch e-invoicing services using the ISO20022 message standard - automating handily the ISO20022 SEPA payments. This also drives SEPA-adoption in a natural way. Banks should also integrate direct debit into e-invoicing - it makes no sense to not do it - enterprise customers can save so much with one integrated solution.

Dean,
The FB reference is more related to launching netservices - like election aids and new e-commerce solutions meant for global markets.

Thank you Dean. I have a long way to go to reach your reach with the tweets. I agree on the audience - and also have the pleasure of meeting people at conferences based on the posts.
The power of social media is immense. So soon we can phps say - if it does not fly on Facebook first - it will not break through elsewhere...

Thank you James. It has been an epiphany here in the Nordic-Baltic region to see how much can be done for e-government take-up when e-banking codes can be used for log-on. And how much cost is saved. Canada is now starting the second wave.
Kazakhstan issuing deadline for paper invoicing is an important addition on that front.

Cheques were eliminated in Finland in 1983 when we introduced fees. Many banks do charge for cheques - and I agree that all should. Charging for e-payments and e-banking is naturally based on the value these deliver.

The main alternative to cash in proximity payments is the debit card. Invoices should be issued for all other sales - and sending a notification as SMS with press a approval makes the transaction electronic.
