Like Open Data and publishing of the complaints statistics of banks for consumer satisfaction, what is the issue with 'naming and shaming' in this case? Can we the people be asked once please. I will be all in for it. The world needs governments run by corporate, here will be a good start.

Well dont we need more cash just due to inflation and that we are having to spend much more than we did. How dos that imply we are "turning" to cash instead of just having to spend more cash!?
If we ignore the card using population, with inflation the amount of cash withdrawal would still go up.
Don't see any merit in this article.
This is another loose statement that means nothing, basicallly both are similar - "The research found that one-quarter of people who use their phones to track spending reported overdrawing their accounts, compared with 20% of those who didn’t use their phones."
If the intent of the article is that cash isn't dead and is important, which I agree to, then it should be worded that way.

A close neighbour Qatar has had an ISO20022 based Automated Clearing House (ACH) that support multiple intra-day clearing and settlement for both credit transfers and direct debits. How is this initiative different or better? ...please if someone may guide me. Thanks

I support vaccination but this is utter nonsense. Companies run business, they hire people to deliver on objectives and pay them for working towards them. Period. As long as people deliver to goals, business have no right to infringe in personal choices of employees.... vaccinate or not, smoke or not, marry or not, etc. D&I just died.

Wonder what the transaction fee would be? Also what system does Lynx replace and how long were the settlement cycles previously?

AISP api is not just for mortgage related request but any kind of account details request. Os this a marketing gimmick? ...and yolt is about 3 years behind the cma9 so not sure what's there to make this news.

Feel like a great development - one that all the banks must move towards. Need of the hour to combat rising rate of card number theft that can be put to bay now with simple innovative solutions like this one.

@Adrian The difference is that controlled card number wouldn't renew for at least a couple of months whereas here the proposition is to renew it every transaction.
Regarding Refund, I am sure Revolut won't let the system "forget" the virtual card nunbers associated to an account so would surely know how to deal with a refund.
Sounds great to me as have been victim of fraud on credit card thrice in the last 5 years.

"login and complete the payment" - this clearly doesn't sound like an implementation of Open Banking / PSD2 in any shape or form if the customer is still required to login themselves. Good attemp to make it sound cool!
