The stress tests aim to assist supervisors to assess the resilience of financial institutions in the EU to adverse market developments. This exercise, which focusses on the consistency and comparability of the outcomes across all banks, is based on a common methodology, scenario and accompanied by a consistent disclosure exercise.
The methodology and scenario are expected to be published in April 2014 and banks' individual results to be released at the end of October 2014.
