Human Trafficking is a growing, horrible crime that brings in more than $150B per year. There are more than 40 million people in slavery situations and more than 70% of those are women and children.
January 11, 2019 is National Human Trafficking Awareness day and I hope you will join me in supporting the Department of Homeland Security's #WearBlueDay. This is DHS' voice for calling attention to their effort to combat Human Trafficking. We hope you will wear something blue... a shirt, jacket, tie, dress... it doesn't matter. Please post a photo of you, your friends and your colleagues on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) with the hashtag #WearBlueDay.
Follow the DHS campaign on Twitter @DHSBlueCampaign for more information on #WearBlueDay and National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
