Working out at work

Good news for office workers worried that nine hours a day sat motionless in front of a PC is taking its toll on their waistlines.

The Walkstation, from US office furniture outfit Details, is here to help you fight the flab. This ingenious product combines a computer workstation with a treadmill, so you can walk while you work.

According to James Levine from the Endocrine Research Unit at the Mayo Clinic, the device helps you burn calories through Nonexercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT) - energy expended for everything that is not sleeping, eating, or sports-like exercise.

If your staff are looking a bit podgy, you can find out all about the Workstation, with photos and videos, here.
