ClairMail, the leader in mobile banking and payments solutions, today announced a new suite of international mobile banking capabilities designed to facilitate transactions across global markets and multiple currencies.

The new international features include:

* Multi-Currency Account Management: ClairMail now supports mobile transactions across multiple international currencies. This will enable financial institutions (FIs) the ability to offer cross-currency mobile banking and payments functionality to their customers. This is an essential capability internationally, where banking customers manage accounts in more than one currency.

* International ATM/Branch Locator: Fully-customized ATM and branch locator functionality that allows for FIs to account for various zip and postal code formats and distance metrics (e.g. miles vs. kilometers).

* Multi-Language Capability and Customized Localization: FIs can customize user interfaces based on local markets, including expanded content formats to account for various language and banking preferences in each market.

Morgan Stanley's prediction that mobile Internet users will exceed desktop users in the next five years could have a significant impact on the global expansion of mobile banking, especially in emerging and underbanked markets where mobile devices are a primary tool for managing personal finance. Additional industry research predicts that there will be close to 900 million global mobile banking users by 2015, which present tremendous growth opportunities for ClairMail.

The new features expand on ClairMail's recent international initiatives, including distribution agreements with ebpSource and Misys.

"We continue to invest resources to significantly broaden our reach and these new capabilities reinforce our global mobile banking footprint by providing a customizable platform for our FI customers throughout the world," said ClairMail CEO Pete Daffern. "As FIs continue to realize that mobile is the strategic channel of the future, product innovation will be a key area for us to reinforce and build market leadership while delivering significant value to our customers in emerging markets."
