Charles River Development (Charles River), an award-winning provider of financial software and services to the global investment management community, today announced that Bloomberg has certified Charles River Development's integration with the Bloomberg Server API.

Charles River Investment Management System (Charles River IMS) clients may access Bloomberg's real-time pricing and static reference data, with full control over exchange/contributor permissioning, directly within Charles River IMS.

This expanded integration of Charles River software and Bloomberg data products adds enhanced monitoring and reporting to Charles River's execution management capabilities. The tight integration with Bloomberg data allows Charles River IMS users to consolidate time-stamped market snapshots at each significant step in the trade lifecycle, from portfolio management, through trading and into post-trade operations. Managers and traders can now show best execution by comparing their decisions to the market spread.

"The exchanges are getting serious about cracking down on restricted and exchange-entitled data violations," said Tom Driscoll, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Charles River Development. "At the same time, worldwide exchange requirements are more complex. While systems have historically provided snapshot capabilities, they lacked the tools to comply with exchange requirements that control the distribution of that information. Charles River solves these issues by ensuring that data is in complete compliance with exchange entitlements."

Additionally, the integration delivers real-time yield curve support for Interest Rate Swap and "On the Run" instruments and the ability to receive streaming Bloomberg data through the Charles River Anywhere web portal.
