Axway raids competitors to swell sales team

In support of Axway's continued growth, the company today announced that it has expanded the leadership of its sales team. Gary Bachelor, Paul French and Randy Vescelius have joined Axway as vice presidents, charged respectively with extending the company's collaboration with partners, expanding sales in the financial services and supply chain markets, as well as managing sales operations.

"We're excited to welcome Gary, Paul and Randy to our team - they bring an extraordinary level of talent and industry knowledge," said Mike Nason, Axway's senior vice president of distribution and sales for North America and the UK. "Our growth in the past year has been phenomenal, and we're building a solid sales division to meet the growing demand in collaborative business solutions. We're already seeing positive results from their leadership in advancing Axway's market position."



Gary Bachelor, vice president of business development, is responsible for identifying, creating and executing partnerships, as well as integrating partners into successful working relationships with Axway. Bachelor has more than 25 years of experience in high-tech sales. Before joining Axway, Bachelor served as vice president of partner sales at webMethods, directed global partner sales at Hyperion Solutions and managed alliances at Intermec.



With almost 15 years worth of industry experience from Sterling Commerce, INGINIX Systems and Yahoo!, Paul French now leads the financial services and emerging markets division of the sales team as vice president. In his new role, French is responsible for building on Axway's North American business in these two markets.



As vice president of pre-sales and sales operations, Randy Vescelius is responsible for maximizing revenue generation and establishing best practices for the Americas and UK sales and sales support organizations. Vescelius has more than 20 years of experience in software sales, product development and delivery management. Prior to joining Axway, Vescelius worked for Progress Software, Vignette, and most recently, Sterling Commerce where he held the position of vice president of sales engineering.
