Trintech Group (NASDAQ: TTPA), a leading provider of financial software and services specializing in reconciliation workflow, revenue enhancement, transaction risk management, and compliance, today announced it has successfully implemented technology from Microsoft to accelerate the development and deployment of its next generation of financial accounting and compliance solutions.

Through comprehensive architecture design sessions with the Microsoft Technology Team, Trintech has mapped its seminal software architecture, utilizing the .NET framework, onto the latest Microsoft technologies, Windows Vista and "Longhorn" Server.

"The Microsoft Partner Advantage Program greatly increased our productivity by reducing the learning curve. We leveraged the advanced design skills of MTT engineers to enhance our software architecture and reduce the risk of schedule delays," said Glen Rudelis, Vice President of Engineering for Trintech. "We found the .NET 2.0 framework to be incredibly rich in feature functionality, and when combined with the expressiveness of the C# language, we were able to create a powerful code base in a short period of time. This platform will allow us to not only deliver a highly capable and sophisticated set of products for transaction reconciliation management and accounting compliance, it's also one that provides new levels of user friendliness and insight into critical high value issues. The easier systems are to use the more our customers are able to realize their own operational efficiencies and focus on core financial initiatives."

Microsoft's Business Intelligence (BI) technologies have provided Trintech with key advantages, including a quick and easy means for developing and deploying dashboards and reports; easy to implement BI tools that integrate into ASP.NET (front-end) and back-end components; superior customer support; and a clear commitment to developing and supporting innovation.

"Trintech has capitalized on the opportunity to gain insight into the development and delivery of solutions utilizing the .NET framework, and we are very excited about Trintech's commitment as a leader in their industry. Their work is representative of the tremendous momentum in the ISV community with Microsoft platform technologies," said Greg Urguhart, Microsoft General Manager of ISV's in the United States. "Trintech's recoonciliation solutions embody the concepts that Microsoft promotes everyday - improving operations and driving innovation and efficiencies for users around business processes."

The Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) has allowed Trintech to implement a web service interface to its back-end server, providing a smoother interface with the front-end. Additionally, the WCF has enabled Trintech developers to implement high-priority features like encryption, compression, and SOAP messaging. Through the Enterprise Patterns and Practices Library, Trintech engineers have developed advanced logging features for Trintech applications, and the Team Foundation Server has provided the option of incorporating a full-featured version control system, one tightly integrated with Visual Studio.

"Trintech continues to invest in new products and evolve its financial accounting software solutions. Microsoft has been instrumental in providing technology and support for this exciting new phase of product development," said John Harte, EVP and General Manager for Trintech. "With this new technology, we are confident of delivering a comprehensive transaction lifecycle management and revenue enhancement product suite that will provide our customers with the most effective solutions to manage their most complex reconciliation processing challenges effectively."
