Capgemini names Lanny Cohen CEO of project and consulting unit in North America

Capgemini US, one of the world's leaders in consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced that Lanny Cohen was appointed chief executive officer of Capgemini's project and consulting (P&C) business in North America.

Salil Parekh, the prior CEO, has been asked to address another global priority by taking on the role of Executive Chairman of Capgemini India, to help drive growth in India and ensure a smooth integration with Kanbay International once the acquisition has been finalized.

Cohen was most recently the business unit leader for Capgemini's East region, responsible for sales and delivery of consulting and technology services across 15 states since June 2005 and has also held various national, industry and service line leadership roles over his 28-year Capgemini career. He was also the 2003/2004 chairman of the Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF), and was named one of Consulting Magazine's Top 25 Most Influential Consultants for 2004 for his work at Capgemini and his industry leadership through AMCF.

Cohen holds a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from Southern Illinois University. A Certified Systems Professional, he is a graduate of the executive leadership programs at the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and Harvard University. Cohen also serves on the Board of Directors of AMCF and is a trustee of St. Thomas Aquinas College.
