"The new Edge Advantage offer gives active traders the most unique, cost-effective and flexible trading option in Canada today," said Frank Tucci, President of CIBC Investor's Edge. "With Edge Advantage, online traders can now trade whenever the market signals they should, not because they have quotas to meet to receive lower pricing. Online investors can now trade any stock, at anytime, and for any amount, with this revolutionary new trading package."

Edge Advantage gives active traders and casual traders alike the ability to buy a package of 50 electronic trades that may be used anytime during the calendar year for $395, which equals an industry low price of $7.90 for each trade. After investors exceed 50 trades in the year, the price drops to $6.95 per trade. Trades can be either Canadian or US, and traders do not need to meet a minimum asset threshold.

Unlike competitive offers that impose a trade quota of 30 trades per quarter to qualify for lower pricing (i.e. $9.99), there are no restrictions on how or when an Investor's Edge client uses the trades and they still benefit from lower prices.

"Edge Advantage is perfect for online investors who make regular trades over the course of the year, but don't fall into the 120-plus trades a year category that most other Canadian online brokers cater to," explained Marybeth Jordan, Executive Director at CIBC Investor's Edge. "With 50 'anytime' trades for a low up-front fee of $395 this offer is both flexible and affordable."

CIBC Investor's Edge provides its clients with exceptional service, support and value with both website and toll-free telephone access to a wide range of accounts and investments, including stocks, fixed income instruments, options, GICs and over 2,000 mutual funds, as well as online planning tools, CIBC World Markets research, and Standard and Poor's(C) stock reports.

The new Edge Advantage package will be launched on January 22, 2007.
