Swiss bank Julius Baer is rolling out the thin client version of the Reuters 3000 Xtra desktop product to 150 private and institutional banking staff around the world.
The Reuters 3000 Xtra premium information desktop became available for thin client deployment in March this year.
By using the system in a thin client environment - where a centrally managed server runs main applications and end users only require lightweight desktops - staff will have access to all the features of 3000 Xtra both at their offices and remotely.
Marc Carletti, managing director, Reuters Switzerland, says the thin client option offers a real advantage for banks focused on reducing costs while maintaining access to information and analytics.
