Inter-dealer broker Icap has implemented Misys Securities Trading Systems' ISO 15022 software to handle Swift messages in Pan-European, Asian, North American and emerging markets.
The ISO15022 messages flow through the vendor's middleware product Meridian and into Misys' Market Settlement system, which is also installed at Icap.
Misys says other geographical markets are supported by the software and will be switched on in the future. Icap has licensed Meridian's integration toolkit, enabling the addition of new interfaces independent of Misys.
In addition, Icap has migrated its gilt business onto Misys' Market Settlement system, where instructions are sent to Crest on a real time basis. Messages from Crest are also processed through Market Settlement.
Lance Fisher, from Icap says: "The gilt migration completes our strategic product move to Market Settlement, a project that has been in progress since we purchased the system in June 2000."
