Diebold is in negotiations to acquire the equipment maintenance operations, excluding PCs, alarms and branch automation, of Bank of America in the Western region. The negotiations also include a multi-year, multi-million dollar per year maintenance outsourcing agreement, covering automated teller machines (ATMs) and certain other bank products.
Bank of America will continue to own and operate the ATMs.
The deal is expected to be completed by the end of September.
