PayPal has introduced a dedicated 'donate' button to its mobile app to make it easier for users to give to charity.
The new feature means that with just one click people can donate to the tens of thousands of charities signed up to the PayPal Giving Fund. Previously donors had to leave the app.
PayPal says that last year 38.7 million people donated $6.6 billion through its platform, 23% of it on mobile devices.
Separately, former PayPal boss David Marcus is making his mark at Facebook Messenger, which is testing a new design to make its P2P payments feature more prominent.
Messenger got P2P payments support in the US last year but now a rejigged main navigation page is being tested that has had a 'send or request money' option added to the likes of 'events' and 'moments'.
