The MeBank launch has been timed to coincide with the Dubai Internet City event and Shopping Festival so as to attract maximum publicity. Available full-time over the Internet, MeBank will also have a series of hi-tech outlets featuring ATMs, PCs and touch screen machines. These high street locations will aspire to a "relaxed, informal, café type environment", says the bank.

The first outlets will be located at three Emirates Bank International and Middle East Bank branches and at Dubai Internet City. In addition, two MeBank locations have been specially set up for the Dubai Shopping Festival at Global Village and Etisalat Family Village in Murraqabat.

MeBank customers will have online access to products and services of Emirates Bank International and Middle East Bank including account opening, account inquiries, fund transfers, bill payments, remittances, foreign exchange and deposit rate information.
