Fortis Bank of Belgium has chosen BST's FinOffice system to manage its market data inventory worldwide.
Fortis selected BST's software after months of competitive trails with two other shortlisted vendors. Roll-out began earlier this month and migration to the full FinOffice 5 platform is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
FinOffice 5 consists of FinMarketData and FinContract modules which will be used together to manage global market data inventory, vendors, users, costs and contracts.
Carlos del Marmol, global co-ordinator of Fortis Bank's market data competence centre says he expects the implementation will enable the bank to better manage market data usage worldwide and keep a lid on costs.
