Standard Chartered Bank has contracted with Virginia-based Netsec for managed security services.
Netsec will provide the bank with 24x7 security services, including device monitoring and incidence response, using its Finium platform, which is operated from a disaster-resilient security operations centre.
Finium integrates threat, vulnerability and event information via a centralised, secure Web console. The platform will be integrated with Standard Chartered's existing security devices to provide a centralised view of events and vulnerabilities.
John Meakin, group head of information security, Standard Chartered, says stringent controls around the privacy and security of customer information is inherent in the bank's business: "The partnership approach that NetSec offers along with its Finium platform and 24x7 security management solutions reinforces this goal."
