Saudi Hollandi Bank signs for Sterci's Stelink

Saudi Hollandi Bank (SHB) is to use Sterci's financial messaging middleware, Stelink, to process payments over the Swift and Sarie (Saudi Arabian Local EFT) networks.

Sterci is a newly-formed subsidiary of Swiss systems group Steria dedicated to STP software development.

The vendor says Stelink is able to scale volumes of up to 40,000 messages an hour, is SwiftNet and XML compliant and also includes FircoSoft, a compliance control filter.

Stelink will be integrated with SHB's core banking software - which is the Globus system from Temenos - and will provde STP for all Swift and Sarie messages.

Marius Cremer, implementation manager of SHB, says: "The various Stelink modules together with Globus will allow us to look at launching new products and better services to our customers."

The software was delivered to SHB and will be supported by Newtek Solutions, Sterci's local partner in Saudi Arabia.

Sterci says its Stelink product is used by over 100 banks across EMEA.
