Lucova has teamed up with Fresh Ideas Food Management on the FreshX app, which is designed to help students avoid long lines and complete purchases without having to pull out their wallets, or even phones.

Payment details, meal cards, and loyalty and reward point information are all stored in the app. When they approach the checkout, Bluetooth technology identifies students and pulls up their details for the cashier.

If students pre-set their preferences, they can purchase meals and get receipts and rewards hands free, with the cashier identifying them through their selfie.

Amit Jhas, CEO, Lucova, says: "We believe technology can enable better in-person human interactions, while solving for pain points customers face during transactions."
