A lot of statistics that do not tell us very much at all.
So we are lumping together "mobile payment applications" - which could include anything from In-App payment to browser based payments to contactless NFC to bar code scanners - and then its not actual usage is "plan to use". Must have been a very scientific survey, Q: "Hey you have an iPhone - do you plan to use Apple Pay?" A: "Err..yea I guess so!"
"1 in 4" think mobile payments is less secure, while "27%" think they are less secure - so 25% plays 27% or 1 in 4 plays 1 in 4. Wow.
Apple Pay is just contactless and the rest are not so not an entirely useful comparison. How many people are using Uber or Hailo think that they are making mobile payments?
Just not sure what this is adding to the debate.

What do the merchants have to say ? much more important question that one.
The security issues with Apple Pay have impacted the merchants only(cash out of their pockets), so what's the point of asking the user.
They surveyed the wrong group IMHO.
