Basware hires Amabel Grant as UK managing director

Basware, the leading provider of e-invoicing and purchase-to-pay solutions, is accelerating the uptake of e-invoicing in the UK through a new senior appointment.

Amabel Grant is joining Basware through the company’s acquisition of Procserve, the leading eProcurement software solution provider focused on the UK public sector. Grant’s new role will see her focused on improving the growth of Basware’s Commerce Network, particularly within the public sector.

With governments around the world seeking to reduce their costs and improve efficiency, there has been a continued push across Basware’s markets to adopt e-invoicing. With her 15 years’ experience in eProcurement, eCommerce and public sector procurement, Grant is tasked with leading such e-invoicing initiatives across the UK. As part of this commitment, Grant is currently chair of the UK National eInvoicng Forum, a body dedicated to promoting e-invoicing in the UK public and private sectors.

Prior to joining Procserve at the end of 2008, Amabel was International Vice President of Exostar, the US based leading Aerospace & Defence online marketplace. She joined Exostar from the Olympic Delivery Authority where she led on eProcurement Strategy for the London 2012 Olympics.

Grant’s credentials also include work with the Office of Government Commerce, an agency of HM Treasury, where she led the eHub Marketplace Program for UK Government, which subsequently became the Government eMarketplace. She also represented the UK Government on the European Commission IDABC (Interoperable Delivery of European eGovernment Services).
