Diebold names Tom Signorello SVP, North America sales

Diebold, Incorporated (DBD) today announced two senior sales leadership appointments in its financial self-service business. Tom Signorello has been appointed senior vice president, North America sales.

In this role, Signorello will lead the company's sales operations and go-to-market strategies for its financial self-service business throughout North America.

Signorello's career spans more than 20 years in sales leadership for a diverse set of global technology companies. He joins Diebold from Unisys Corporation where he most recently served as North America vice president and general manager, enterprise services. In this role, Signorello was responsible for business development, client satisfaction and total service delivery to all Unisys' North America clients.  Prior to Unisys, he served as vice president, global managed services at Affiliated Computer Services (ACS), where he was directly responsible for planning and implementing the company's managed services growth strategy. Signorello also spent nearly 15 years with Computer Sciences Corporation, where he most recently served as vice president and global account executive.

"Tom has a proven track record of growing services and outsourcing businesses – particularly in North America, which is our largest geographic market segment," said Andy W. Mattes, Diebold president and chief executive officer. "His extensive sales leadership experience will accelerate our transformation to a more services-led company as we look to drive profitable growth and market expansion throughout the region."

In addition, the company announced that Mychal D. Kempt, formerly vice president, North America operations, has been named vice president, global launch management.  In this new role, Kempt will lead the company's global sales initiatives for new solutions to drive customer demand, loyalty and thought leadership in the financial industry. 

Both Signorello and Kempt will report to George S. Mayes, Diebold executive vice president and chief operating officer. Signorello is an alumnus of Suffolk University in Boston, holding a bachelor's degree in finance and a master's degree in business administration.
