Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE:DBD) has appointed John Ennis as vice president, United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland. He will be responsible for developing the company's business in these two countries and further implementing growth strategies.

Ennis has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the financial technology sector.  He joined Diebold in 2012 as country manager, UK and Ireland.  Prior to Diebold, he held financial technology management positions at various global companies, including NatWest/Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). He earned various certifications in sales and management through courses at the Open University in the UK, and Harvard University in the United States.

“Diebold is committed to promote its talents,” said Bassem Bouzid, senior vice president and managing director, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). “John’s appointment is the culmination of his last two years of work in the UK, during which he has achieved admirable results. He tripled the base of Diebold product installations in the UK, and acquired as clients the top four banks in the UK thanks to his familiarity with the client base, and with financial technology services and solutions in the UK banking sector.  His continued leadership will help us become a much stronger competitor in EMEA and position us to be successful in 2015 and beyond.”
