We are delighted to announce that Betterment and Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services are collaborating in connection with Betterment Institutional, a platform that gives advisors the tools they need to be more productive, more efficient, and provide the best experience for their clients.
Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services (IWS) is a Fidelity Investments® business unit that provides comprehensive custody platform, brokerage services, trading capabilities and practice management solutions to nearly 3,000 registered investment advisor firms.
Fidelity IWS will provide information and education about Betterment Institutional to its RIA firms and prospects interested in “digitizing” their practices to service their mass-affluent net new asset needs.
However, Fidelity has not invested in Betterment, and we do not have any arrangement that affects our independence or objectivity in choosing investment products. Fidelity IWS and Betterment share an interest in helping advisors realize that digital advice should not be perceived as a threat, but rather an opportunity to evolve their engagement models to better engage new business segments, particularly the emerging affluent, a segment that many advisory firms have historically under-served or not served at all.
What is Betterment Institutional?
Betterment Institutional is a new experience for advisors and clients alike. With technology designed to streamline a client’s investment process and accelerate an advisor’s ability to serve his or her clientele, Betterment Institutional is the ideal digital platform for advisors.
Betterment Institutional gives advisors the tools they need to change the experience for all parties in wealth advisory. Advisor practices will become more productive, more efficient, and provide a next- generation interface for their clients.
With Betterment Institutional, advisors can bring the best of digital advice to their clients, automate their workflow, and spend time in front of clients, building new business and strengthening existing relationships.
