The "man" is in fact an 8-foot-tall mannequin who appears to be holding a laptop computer. The billboards, which are in 17 locations across Tennessee, are promoting First Tennessee online banking.

"We're emphasising the versatility of our online financial services, which means you can do your online banking business whenever and wherever you want, as long as you have a computer with Internet access," says Susan Terry, senior vice president of online financial services for First Tennessee. "With cellular service, today that means you can bank anywhere. Yes, even at the top of the billboard, if you're brave enough."

The billboards were designed by Thompson and Company advertising agency in Memphis, and the mannequins were created by Small Creations.
