Will the SENATE COMMITTEE take responsibility for its failure?

What are the chances of Social Media Platform owners being jailed for breach of trust and / or weak security infrastructure? NIL.
Why? My two cents is that INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY is too invested in the data and will bail them out. So, on whom is the risk? The risk is on us, the billion minions, with a clean record and using the platform for legitimate social interaction. Our data is and will be compromised.
What needs to be done? What do you think? Platform Owner Accountability; Non-intrusive surveillance techniques that will reduce the dependency of the ‘Intelligence Community” on the data in the Social Media and Digital Literacy courses for our politicians. Legislation alone may not work to break the nexus. Risk on us, can be minimised, by significantly reducing the dependency between the three powerful players (Platform owner, Intelligence, Government).
