Royal Bank of Scotland assesses four technology supertrends with the potential to reshape and disrupt the banking industry.

The paper describes the four technology trends - the emergence of an always on, always available digital society, big data insights, multi-channel and supply chain integration, and integrity and security - and their likely impact on the future bank.

"Opinion varies on the likelihood of a near term technology led transformation in the banking industry, but it is clear that there is a greater than zero per cent probability of radical disruption," states the bank.
