The crook - who earned his nickname because of the way in which he jumps over bank counters during robberies - has been linked by police to 17 raids in three years across Canada.

Frustrated in their efforts to catch him, investigators from five different forces have teamed up to spread the robber's image across Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and even Pinterest.

Anyone who recognises him could also be in line for a reward, with the Canadian Bankers Association putting up $20,000 for information that ultimately leads to an arrest.

York Regional Police Detective Sergeant Mike Fleischaker says: "By utilizing all of the tools available to share video and images of this serial bank robber's face, we hope someone will come forward with information that will help us identify this suspect."
