@WP: Any idea if this feature was demanded by the retail customer or by small businesses who still have a lot of cash transactions?

Use of predictive analytics to identify anomalies in order to control credit card fraud has been in vogue for at least a decade that I'm aware of. I myself wrote an article on this topic in 2008. Maybe I'm missing something but I'm not sure what's new about this Revolut system.

"In the card payments world, the ownership of liability and risk for these scenarios is clearly prescribed by the card schemes. But, in the world of Open Banking, these operational support facilities still need to evolve."
Once they're evolved and implemented, do you think Open Banking payments will continue to fulfill their "promise of lower costs, faster settlement" compared to card payments?

LOL this totally resonates with my long-held belief that the only PFM advice I need is "earn more, spend less". Boy, am I glad that I never wasted my time and my smartphone storage space to install any of these PFM or MoMMA apps.
That said, that's only me. As I highlighted in A Killer Feature For PFM On The Eve Of PSD2, there are a few valuable use cases for these apps, with the common theme being "make money by capitalizing upon external factors" e.g. auto switch to higher yield accounts, auto redemption of reward points so that they never lapse, etc. But I haven't come across any PFM / MoMMA app that supports these features.

The only thing "clearly given" is how I said my name should be spelled. I repeat, it's "Ketharaman".

No, you can't have stopped carrying your cards, just your payment cards. If you're like the average person, your leather wallet probably has a myriad of other cards like several store loyalty cards, driving license(s), health insurance card and alumnus card. How many of these non payment cards can be replaced by Samsung Pay (or Apple Pay or whatever Pay)?
I wrote Mobile Wallets: Fix What's Broken - And It Ain't Payments in 2013. Five years later, plastic is still not broken. As Finextra recently reported, "UK public won’t be ditching payment cards in favour of mobile payments in the near, or even distant, future." While this survey was conducted in UK, its conclusion may well be true of all countries except the ones where plastic payment cards were never a thing in the first place.

Sorry but the sia partners article cited by you doesn't resonate with your original post. From what I could understand, the article starts by expressing a fond wish for BANP in EU but admits midway that "Such a service ... is not yet a pan-European reality." Nor does it confirm that EU-wide BANP would ever be a reality.
In the interest of everybody's time, I suggest that you EITHER Cite a source that categorically says EU has mandated BANP across EU by so-and-so date OR Update your article to reflect the present reality and, optionally, explain what it is that you really meant to say. In its present form, I'm afraid, the original post is quite misleading.
BTW, I go by "Ketharaman".

AFAIK, there is NO account number portability across EU. Nevertheless, I took the trouble of reading the Executive Summary of the PDF referenced by you. I couldn't find any mention of EU. I also did a quick search for the keyword "European Union". As you can see from this screenshot, there was no mention of this keyword in the entire 74 page document. Besides, your PDF says that the report is commissioned by FCA. AFAIK, FCA is a regulatory body for Great Britain and it has no jurisdiction in EU. ICYMI, Great Britain voted a while ago to exit EU in what's popularly known as Brexit.
Nevertheless, I'll take this as a learning experience in case you can point out references to EU in your referenced PDF or anywhere else.
