Good or bad its here to stay, I understand that over 50% of all spot fx electronic platform trades stem from Algo trading, that's an awful lot of trades. I think some of the bigger banks will say that pricing in the fx market is too transparent.

I don't dispute the need for continual improvement on workflows but I'd love to know where Celent worked their figures from. The figure seems to confuse value with volumes, an additional 34% of value traded over the next year. Where do they believe this will come from, the market has already increased through hedge funds active on electronic trading, AI has increased to a peak and at the same time the market took a hit on a reduction of broker dealer community.
I will look back on 2010 with interest.

For the past 3 years I've been through the same ritual with the company who's adverts have the annoying smiley bulldog. Wife receives renewal note, go online to their website, get premium quote as new customer, call, cancel old, take out new, I receive my renewal notice from same, ditto actions.
Each year the 'new' customer receives a lower quote.
